WINTER

Desde principios de la década de 2010, la artista brasileño-estadounidense Winter ha estado cultivando un grupo de seguidores fieles gracias a su singular enfoque en el shoegaze etéreo. Pasó sus años formativos creciendo en Curitiba, Brasil, donde su madre llenaba el hogar con las suaves melodías de la MPB (música popular brasileña), mientras que su padre la introducía a los sonidos distorsionados del punk estadounidense. Tras mudarse a Boston para estudiar en la universidad, finalmente se trasladó a Los Ángeles, donde se abrió camino en la vibrante escena underground de la ciudad. Inicialmente influenciada por el dream pop clásico y el indie de los años 90, el sonido de Winter rápidamente evolucionó hacia algo único, desarrollando un estilo de surrealismo de cuento de hadas que la distingue de sus contemporáneos. Favorita de infinidad de artistas, ha girado con bandas como Cherry Glazer, Beach Fossils, The Marias, Codeine, Hatchie, Tanukichan, Drop Nineteens, Pachinko, Spirit Of The Beehive…. y ya ha pasado por festivales como Pitchfork Paris, y Best Kept Secret.
