BLANCK MASS

Benjamin John Power (la mitad de Fuck Buttons) ha estado haciendo música bajo el nombre de Blanck Mass desde 2010. En 2012, ‘Sundowner’, la segunda canción de su álbum de debut homónimo, puso la banda sonora a la ceremonia de apertura de los Juegos Olímpicos de Londres, elegida por Rick Smith de Underworld e interpretada por la Orquesta Sinfónica de Londres para 900 millones de personas en todo el mundo. En los años siguientes Power lanzó dos álbumes, ‘Dumb Flesh’ (2015) y ‘World Eater’ (2017) en Sacred Bones. ‘Animated Violence Mild’ es el cuarto LP de Power como Blanck Mass, que ha recogido unas críticas increíbles. «Estas ocho pistas son el diario de un año de trabajo lleno de perfeccionamiento, autodescubrimiento y dolor, y este último apareció en el último obstáculo para producir este disco y creó una narrativa completamente separada: el dolor, ambos por lo que he perdido personalmente, pero también en un sentido global, por lo que nosotros, como especie, hemos perdido y entregado a nuestro homólogo chupador de sangre, el consumismo, solo para ser devastados por él», explica el artista.
